TELEMUNDO BOSTON TO HOST NEW VARIETY SHOW
BOSTON, MA. — WNEU Telemundo Boston announced the inclusion of the new variety show Orale! as part of its local programming line-up. The show, which is hosted by Veronica Robles, is set to premiere Saturday, Jan. 31 at 9:30 a.m. “We are extremely excited about the addition of this program to our station. Orale!, is just one example of WNEU's commitment to bringing valuable resources and services to the Hispanic community in New England and we are looking forward to this new venture, said Mike Gillespie, Senior Vice President of Telemundo New England.
The word ‘órale’ is a popular Mexican expression that means to encourage, hurry and celebrate, said Robles, a multitalented media personality, songstress and host of Orale! “To me the show represents just that — a celebration of Latino culture,â€? Robles said. “Orale! promises to entertain, inform and educate our Latino community.â€?
The program segments will showcase local talent and feature a variety of topics important to the Latino community and will provide advice on improving the quality of life for viewers.
Robles is not camera-shy — she has served as host for major networks including Azteca, Televisa, Telemundo, Univisión and local public broadcast station WGBH. Selected by El Planeta newspaper and Powermeter as one of the top 100 influential people in Boston’s Latino community, Robles continues to serve her demographic and says she always puts her community in the forefront.
